MEMBERSHIP FAQ's

YES, EVERYONE MUST TAKE THE SAFETY TEST EACH YEAR

  • In 2022 the board opted to have members complete the safety test on an annual basis. Safety is paramount and an annual refresher isn’t a bad thing.
  • Annual safety tests not only streamline the application process (no searching for numbers, or PDF files to upload) but eliminates the confusion we were seeing with applications.
  • This also ensures any new features to the club are properly covered with a safety brief.

NO.

As of the 2023-2024 Membership cycle all previously issued safety certificates are invalid.

All members are required to take the online safety training course annually. Once you have successfully completed the online portion you can print and mail in your application and payment.

  • Select the plan you want above.
  • Complete the safety training quiz. (new members & renewals)
  • Select the PDF version from the membership application page. (you will only see this once you have successfully completed the safety test)
  • Mail your hard copy and check to:  Post Office P.O. Box 5133, Santa Fe NM 87502
  • THERE IS NO DIGITAL/EMAIL OPTION FOR THE PAPER APPLICATION. IF YOU OPT FOR PAPER HARD COPY, IT MUST BE SENT IN AS SUCH.
  • These applications may take up to 15 business days to process.
  • The membership secretary picks up the mail from the PO Box once a week on Saturday.
  • NRGSC new Individual or Family Membership applications submitted by mail may take up to 10 business days to process and then the membership/gate card will be mailed.

  • Family Memberships are designed for families with kids under the age of 18.
  • Adult Children, over the age of 18, can be on a family membership if they live with you or in the immediate area.
  • “Family” is defined as anyone who is in your immediate household. Anyone under the age of 18 who either resides with you or an ex-spouse and you play a role in their general upbringing and care.
  • Anybody not in your immediate household is considered a guest.

We realize the “traditional” family group isn’t for everyone. We understand there are multiple situations where you would call someone “family”. As a non-profit who uses these funds for the upkeep of the range and improvements for you and your guests. We ask that you use discretion and common sense when applying for a family membership to our club.

All memberships run from July 1st – June 30th the following year.

  • All memberships run from July 1st – June 30th the following year.
  • Membership renewal period is May 1st through June 30th prior to the start of the new membership cycle.

Our volunteer board will do everything we can to ensure you’re application is approved, within reason. Below are a few of the reasons why your application will be denied.

  • Missing, Incomplete, or (obvious) false information.  EX:  Child Name – Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck
  • Abusive language in your application. (Yes, this has happened enough we’re adding it here.) EX:  Date of Birth: “None of your damn business”
    • If your application has abusive language in it it will be denied. You’re welcome to reapply for membership. However, if your second application contains more abusive language you will be banned from the club. There’s simply no need for it with a volunteer run organization.

If you lose your gate card you will need to contact the membership secretary and pay $10 to have it replaced.
